I will be flying to Canada next month on PR card. I have the following concerns:
When they ask me why am I visiting Canada, can I say I am just visiting Canada with my spouse at this moment.
Would they ask me if I am renting/owning a place in Canada? Is it okay if I say I do not own / rent a apt and I will be living in my friend's apt?
Would they ask for proof of funds?
Please advise

Your question is vague. If you are going to land first time, you are not having a PR CARD yet. But, if you already landed and you have a PR Card, then you are a Permanent Resident of Canada and the questions as you mentioned will not be asked.

If you are landing first time with a PR visa, the IO will ask you the address of your spouse and the contact number. He/she may ask few questions about the spouse's identity/whereabouts. That's all. Staying in own apartment, hotel etc will not be a problem. As ou are on spouse visa there is no need of any POF. But you can bring money for your need.

Something is misunderstood from above post. That person is coming to Canada with his/her spouse and planing to stay at family/friend place.

Can you clear if it is first visit on PR Visa or a visit on PR Card? Then seniors may answer to your doubts.

good luck.

Sorry for the confusion. This is not my first visit. I received my PR card and would like to visit Canada for a few days.

Assuming that you have met the residency requirement in Canada for a Permanent Resident, you should not have any difficulty on re-entry to Canada with a valid Permanent Resident Card.
