Hello Seniors,

Today, I've got noticed that something is weird in the eligibility of CEC.

I followed the link that many people has left as a proof that you should apply within one year of leaving the last job.

This is the eligibility of CEC at the moment.

You need to meet these requirements to apply under the Canadian Experience Class. You must:

plan to live outside the province of Quebec
have at least 12 months of full-time (or an equal amount in part-time) skilled work experience in Canada in the three years before you apply,
have gained your experience in Canada with the proper authorization
meet the required language levels needed for your job for each language ability (speaking, reading, writing, and listening).

There is nothing to support that you should apply while working in Canada or within one year of leaving the last job.

Does anybody know where I can find the proof of that?

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I just noticed recently they have removed the requirement of one year form website, instruction manual, as well as CIC operation manual.

Recently, I also had a talk with an immigration lawyer regarding my PR application and informed by her that now we can actually apply within 2 year of leaving the job in Canada.

You have to make sure, you have 12 month of full-time job experience within the previous 36 months before the date CIC receive your application.

Confirmed. The eligibility criteria changed on Jan 2, 2013. PMM posted the link to the current information.
