Hello,

I would like to know if following professions are required in Canada?
1.Nurse (my wife)
2.Account manager and payroll accountant (myslef)

I'm a Canadian Citizen through my mother. I never lived in Canada but I got automatic citizenship from my Canadian mother.
I'm married with non-Canadian wife and with a toddler (and another baby on the way).

Can I apply for sponsorship my family and immigrate to Canada?

Best Wishes

Nurses are certainly in demand however foreign trained nurses must go through a certification process in order to be allowed to work in Canada.

You can apply to sponsor your family however the fact you have never lived in Canada makes this a bit more complicated. As part of your application, you will need to provide hard evidence that your family plans to move to Canada and live here once the PR visa is approved. You'd want to have several ways to show this since you have never lived here. This could include securing a job offer in advance, property ownership, bank accounts, having immediate family members in Canada provide a letter stating you can live with them when you first arrive. This is if you apply to sponsor your family for PR from outside of Canada.

The alternative would be to relocate to Canada before you sponsor them and do the sponsorship from within Canada. The downsides of this will be that it will be a while before your wife can work since she will only be in Canada as a visitor and both your wife and child may also not have access to free health care for a while (so you'll need to take out private I insurance).
