Hello everyone,

I have a quick question for those who have obtained Canadian citizenship.

I came to Canada through spousal sponsorship PR and did not take any English language tests at that time. I completed my schooling under CBSE in India and also finished my bachelor’s degree in India. While none of my certificates explicitly state that the medium of instruction was English, my Grade 10 and 12 mark sheets list English as a subject (with marks), and all of my educational certificates are issued in English.

Would this be sufficient as proof of language proficiency for the citizenship application?

Thank you in advance for your help.

in my opinion it wont , since India does not fall under country where primary language of education is English. It is advisable to give CELPIP / IELTS the requirement for citizenship is very low band 4/5 in sections.
But others may chime in.
