English school in Toronto (cheap if possible)

Hi all,

my wife will arrive at Toronto with none to basic english knowledge,
can someone recommend me a good english school there? cheap if possible.

Most of them are about C$ 320~360/week, a full month will be more expensive than our rent.

The only below C$300 that i found was this one: www . hansacanada.com/eng/programs.php
4 weeks for $980, about $245/week

However i wonder if its a good school, not so many reviews on web.

The Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program at COSTI is a good one:

What's the difference between ESL and LINC?
ESL (English as a Second Language) is funded by the Provincial Government. Eligibility is not determined by resident status.

The classes are open to permanent residents of Canada, convention refugees, refugee claimants who have a Study Permit issued by CIC, and Canadian Citizens. Tourists may also attend classes for a fee.

LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) is funded by the Federal Government under Citizenship and Immigration.LINC classes are intended for permanent residents and convention refugees only.

The classes are free of charge and have on-site childminding for children 18 months to 5 years old at no cost. Students may also be eligible for assistance with TTC tickets.

Students interested in LINC will need to undergo an assessment test in order to determine the appropriate level to be placed in.
