Hi Guys,

my father applied under investment program (unconditional) and became permanent resident in 2010. Now i would like to know for applying for citizenship, does he need to provide english language certificate?

i have heard under that because he was an investor he does not need to show knowledge of english language for citizenship. Is this correct?

Here is the link:

If you are between 18 and 54, you must send documents with your citizenship application that prove you can speak and listen in English or French at this level.

If your father is 55+ years then he does not require to demonstrate any language abilities.
