Hi guys! So I know this is up to personal preference, but I was wondering what the typical timeline is for people to submit their application after they get married. How long do you wait to send it in? I've always kind of assumed that we would fill out as much of the paperwork BEFORE the wedding as possible, leaving only the documentation of the marriage as the last missing piece that would need to be provided before we could submit it. I want to submit it literally right after we get married, so I'd like to have everything done in advance. Does that make sense? Has anyone else done it this way? Is there any piece of this I should be preparing for, like the medical exam or FBI stuff, way far in advance of the wedding? We're getting married 11/6/16 and I plan to stay in Canada with him as a visitor after that until my application is approved.
Thank you!

It took five months before we could send ours in. But then my wife had to deal with the NSO (National Statistics Office) of the Philippines. You should complete your medical as the last thing to do and as late as possible. FBI clearance I believe can now be up to 6 months old (previously 3 months). Hope that helps.

Hi. For me it took 2 month after we get married to gathered everything we need before sending it to mississauga. And for medical do it as close as possible before you sent your package
