Hello everyone,

I am confused with my study permit issue little bit. I have different thoughts in mind;

My diploma completing: April 2013
My Study Vise Expiring: 30th April 2013
Off-Campus Work Visa: 30th April 2013

Now what should I do in this case...

i) Should I Renew my study permit? If so then should I renew my off-campus work-permit too?

ii) Since I am completing my diploma in April, my results will be announced by around 25th april and hopefully I will get letter from college soon, and ll apply for the Post Graduate Work Permit by the start of May. In this case, does it make sense to renew the off campus work permit (for the time until I get my PGWP) (advice please)

iii) What documents need to be attached to show the financial proofs? If I am not applying for the off-campus work permit, then it doesn't make sense to add the pay stubs from the present employer (Since I won't be applying for the OCWP & won't be working during the extension period)... (Please advice accordingly)

iv) If I am attaching the bank statement, how mush funds need to be shown.

Please advice me accordingly and as detailed as possible. Thanks.

1. Apply for both bridge extension visa and OCWP renewal (if required). You will get maximum 90 days to apply/get passing certificates and PGWP. With a valid OCWP you can work full time (implied status).
2. Bridge Extension Visa is a must, OCWP is a choice, processing time for OCWP could be 45 days.
3 & 4. You do not need any financial proof for PGWP application. Attach whatever statement you have.

Thanks enfield.

Now here is another different scenario. A few students have told me to not to apply for extension. Because once I send my application for the PGWP, I can stay in canada under implied status.

My study permit is expiring on 30th april, and I will probably get my results and the letter from college by around 23rd or 24th april. So I will apply for the PGWP 4, or 5 days before my study permit expires.

What would you suggest about this? Risky?? ??? ??? ???
