Hello,

I became Permanent Resident recently. I would like to sponsor my spouse. I am working for US employer and they are allowing me to work remotely from Canada. My employer will provide Employment Letter and other documentation needed (have paystubs as well).

My question is: Will there be any problem if I submit employment letter from US employer?

Is it required to work for Canadian company while living in Canada?

No issues. No, there is no requirement for you to be working for a Canadian company. You just need to be living in Canada.

Thank you for the quick response scylla :) Also one more question, do you think it will be helpful to include letter of explanation indicating the same?

No. Just include proof you are living in Canada.
