Employment issue need advise

Hi ,

I have been working on contract basis with my employer. and my employers have been deducting taxes and was given a few perks . Now however i am confused as to which category d i fall under for employment self employed or employed any advise is much appreciated. Thanks in advance

It depends on your status with the employer.

Do you have a contract in place?

It seems that if employers have been deducting taxes then it it paid employment, regardless of the duration.

thanks for your reply, i have the contract agreement but after reading a few articles i feel i might fall under the independent contractor category which is self employment, yes??
