Hello folks. Could someone pls. let me know whether IT services /Technology product companies/ Tech. consulting employers in Canada enforce any contractual bond ie., employee needs to work for a minimum of an year or two ? Are there such restrictions, as I am thinking it defies the purpose of holding a PR. Please let me know.

I have heard of cases where the employer has attempted to claim back training costs from employees that don't stay with the company for a minimum of a year. Be very careful what you accept in your contract and make sure that you are protected from unscrupulous employers.
