Employer wants to sponsor. What is the process?

Hi

Currently i'm on Spousne-open work permit in canada. I'm working here as a IT professional. My employer wants to sponser me a visa.

what is the process. Does my employer needs an LMO to process? or Just sponsoring is enough to get thew new visa.

How long it will take to sponsorship.

Can you please help me here.

if you already have open work permit so why you will need sponsorship ? you can work with your current open work permit without any restrictions .
