Anyone here has changed their employer while daily commuting ? What is the process like?

Did you stop crossing while new employer filed for h1b transfer?

Do you have to get a new visa stamp once you receive new i797?

People switch employers all the time while commuting. Most keep crossing once the H1B transfer is properly filed. Carry the transfer receipt and updated employment documents. The new visa stamp usually isn't needed until you need to obtain a new visa abroad.

I confirmed with the border agents, they said we cannot keep commuting with visa stamp from old employer even when it is valid and you are carrying valid I797 from new employer.
