Hope you other Ref. letters add to the qualifying period of 1 year experience.

I am sure ur application has also reached safely (when, on 4th or 5th August, please tell).
And DTDC was faster than DHL. I sent it on 30th July, the packet was lying in Hamilton for 2 days!! (I sent a mail for clarification)

I hope things go fine from here.

My suggestion, the moment ur file is accepted for processing, take ur HR (& employer also, if possible) in confidence,
,,that will help.
(You dont need any confused person answering a query from VO!!)

I agree. I was planning to do talk to my supervisor.

As for the refernece letters. I hope they accept what we have given. If you read the posts here everyone is confused. I could only make sense that majority of the forum members are tending towards sending a copy and then I got in touch with various consultants...they said if u send the original what will u submit to VO. The process is that they will transfer file to VO but not all documents. It was a gamble. No idea if what we did was correct or not. We will find out though.

Thanks for the reply, my case now is in process since June 29, do you think i should still send the work permit pages or i should just wait?

It was in a none English speaking country and most of the leaders do not speak English, so it will also be another problem.
They just employed someone who speaks English to take care of foreign workers and then send the information to them.

I just hope they can understand and the person speaking English is the one who writes the English version and then sends for translation into their own language. Mine has a lot of complication i hope they will understand it.

I am just keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks and waiting for advice, whether to send the work permit pages at this stage or not.

Hi People,

i would like to know if the CIO/VO would want to verify all the employments to date or just the relevant NOC and the current/most recent one. My huby is an architect and he is working as an architect in chennai/India since 2005. He was doing some part time jobs in UK and we are having trouble collecting the employment reference for that part. Is it OK to just mention the 5 years of architecture experience in the application and send out an employment reference for the same?

Also the past company that i had worked for has closed it's operations in India, but i have got a employment certificate from them earlier. I can produce the current employment reference. Is it OK to just submit the available papers and mention that the past company has shut down operations? I'm worried because if they try calling them the number will not be in use etc..

One last thing, any idea how fast would the 2151 Occupation - Architects will reach the 1000 cap? We would need at least a month(to finish off the IELTS and get PCC from UK) to submit our papers. so bit worried if we will fall into the cap or not. As per my research, i dint come across more than a couple of architects applying under the new rules.

Dear indira_prab,

Experience should be explained well, with
- Proofs of the Work Experience (Notarized copies)
- Reference Letters (originals)
- and explanations (in case there is something to explain)
- Also explain in case Reference Letters can not be procured

Dont worry about the cap limit. Focus on preparing a good file & send it the day you receive your IELTS & PCC (they are among the few docs, that are not in our control, apart from the Ref. letters!!)

If I was you, I would have sent any information that I think is not with them, and SHOULD be with them.
You have your file number, I think you should update your file with complete documents.

I was refused PR once without they asking for some documents that were not in my file.

I also know few cases under the OLD rules (when they used to ask for document updates, in case they were not there in the file already), where the IELTS results were not sent, they were waiting for document-update request letter from VO, and got a Refusal instead.

When u have them, why keep them with you? (Well thats my take on your querry)

I can produce the relieving letters(which states the employment dates, designation, department) as i already have them. What about the reference letters? Who should i get it from? and is it mandatory to provide reference letters? if yes, would the current employer's reference(my supervisor) would do? or should i get it from all the employers/managers? Also i dint hear anything about the UK part time experience for my huby. He has the mandatory NOC experience for 5 years from 2005(since we came back from UK), but he was in UK after his B.Arch course for his masters, in student visa for about 5 years. Just wondering if we need to mention the part time jobs he did there or leave them out of the application.

its a 50 - 50 % chances for verification. depends on your papers, and presentation.

Ok like i said my file is already in process, since June 29 2010. With the advice from you people i will be sending the documents to Visa office.

The documents include.

1) Work permit copies from my passport only, granted to those who have full time jobs with the company.
2) Copies of a foreigner residence permit
3) A copy of my consular card issued by my embassy in that country. In my country when you move abroad you have to register with the embassy in that country. I have a copy of it.

I will also write a cover letter to explain the various documents.

Anything else to write in the cover letter?
