Emirates/Qatar/Etihad airways to go to Canada

Hi all

I am from Sri Lanka. Need some suggestions from previous travellers on which is the cleared flight route to take. I have a cheaper offer from Emirates, but I heard that the officers at Dubai are trying to hold back students from boarding the second flight to Canada and that Qatar is much smoother process. Can anyone share experiences or suggest if this is true please.

From where did you get this information? because as far as I know traveling via Dubai is quite a safer, cheaper, and more convenient option.
