Emergency travel to home country - TRV stamp question

Hi Guys, My mom has to go through surgery in my home country but I am still waiting for a TRV to be processed after obtaining a work permit.

The issue is that my permit is not valid for return, so if I leave Canada, I won't be able to return, and reapplying for TRV from my home country will take much longer. Any advice here? (I have already written to IRCC)

Note: I have been hearing that I can leave Canada at any time, and apply for a passport stamp once the passport request has been received from outside Canada (even if I have applied for TRV from inside Canada). Is this doable?

Thanks in advance.

FYI - IRCC doesn't provide advice and won't provide you with guidance on this matter. You need to hire an immigration lawyer if you're looking for outside advice.
