People around me are getting their visa approvals with 7-10 days ! I am worried as i have heard the longer the time it takes , the higher chances of rejection is there.

It's quite normal for processing to take a few months. This doesn't necessarily mean there's a higher chance of rejection. Unfortunately there's nothing you can really do but wait.

The UK offers a 24-hour service, a US approval/rejection is on the spot at the interview, Schengen processing is 2-3 days to a week or two max, yet Canada needs "months"?
UK Priority Visa/Super Priority Visa Services are not available to applicants of all nationalities + service is not available in all countries + only applicants who have previously traveled to the UK/Canada/US/Australia/NZ/Schengen countries in the last 5 years are eligible + these are pretty expensive premium services

Can't argue with that.
Nonetheless, UK/US/Schengen tend to process applications pretty quick. The last time I applied for a Schengen visa I got it in 48 hours. A UK visa under standard processing took 4 working days.
