Email Update

Good day!!
Does anyone know how to update an email address with CIC?
They got my and my wife's email wrong on file even though we put down the correct one.
Please let me know

Use the online form on CIC website,

or

Fax the Visa office and inform them with the correct email address and contact info.

I am wondering how is this possible if the whole process is automated.
Isnt that the reason we generate the barcodes after we validate the pdf forms!!!
