Eligibility to get PR for Parents of Canadian child

Hi ,

My son is canadian citizen. He is 2 yeas old. I am on work permit now . I need some info like am i eligible for getting PR based on my son's citizenship ? if so what has be done.

Sorry no dice. Your son can sponsor you once he is an adult and earns enough money. This assumes the sponsorship of parents and grandparents under the family class stream will be in existence when he attains this age. You are better off looking at the other forms of getting PR such as through your work permit and thereafter applying for citizenship based on eligibility/criteria on that date.
