"Eligibility is Passed" in GCMS notes..does it mean we are good for getting PR ?

To all the Seniors...i have a dumb question :( .. If the GCMS notes says "Eligibility is passed" and all are "Not Started", what is the likely % of getting the PR ? Could there be any other hurdles ?

Seniors..could you please share your thoughts...

Is the "Eligibility passed" value set by CIC before going to CPP Ottawa or the actual VO who verified the application did that ??

Normally a CPP-O officer checks your application and sets eligibility to "passed" if he is convinced by your documents or otherwise by telephone checks. He'll then issue the medical request.

Agree with all of the above. VO is the one that would change the field value to passed. Can you give some detail from the notes though? What do the notes say...recommend passed, review, dates? Thanks!!! :D
 
Just have a question on criminal check.

If we detained in suspicious of drunk and drive (But not convicted) or Got tickets in license for over speeding kind will affect the process or PR approval?

I am still waiting for my GCMS notes..i applied 25 days back...i have these questions based on the updates from my friends who got their GCMS notes this week ..may be in another week i can give you an update on my notes... :)

Good to hear. I was asking cuz I noticed that he is a FEB 2013 applicant, and thought that they may have started processing applicants around my time. Thanks though... :)

Aaaaaah, got ya! I thought you may have gotten notes already and they showed eligibility passed. Guess its just my wishful thinking. Thanks for clarifying, and yea, let us know if there is anything interesting in the notes when you get them. :)
 
If you look in the details notes towards the back of the document you will see your file has been sent to Ottawa for further review / verification so technically it isn't 100% definite yet.

I think he was asking if a VO frm CPP-O changes the field to "passed" or "recommend passed" ... if its just in the notes that its recommend passed (seems to fulfill the requirements), then the review was done by a junior officer, and they forwarded your file to senior for final approval. if it completely changed to passed without any notes of concerns or review required, then your eligibility is complete, and the MR is only a matter of time. really depends on what is in the notes ... the whole context or picture, if you will.

lol :D .. i know..both of us are going through same window..even i am getting a little itchy :P ... hope everything goes fine...
