Hi,

I have score of more than 800 in Express Entry and finished 1 year work experience & IELTS exam.
I am planning to apply for PR this January, but my passport expires on July 31st/ 2017. (exactly 6 months left till expire since apply to PR)
Because I haven't finished military service from my country, they don't allow to extend my passport.
In this case, I cannot get PR?

I am asking this question because some source say I need at least 6 months of valid passport, but some people say I need another 6 months (total 1 year valid passport) otherwise get rejected.

Please help.

Thanks,

You need to be holding a valid passport at the time the PR visa is issued. The PR visa won't be issued until the processing of your application has been completed.

So you mean I am not eligible to get PR at this point?
