Electronic Gate (e Gate)

With the implement of e gate in Vancouver airport, wondering it's wise to use it.?
Firstly passport is not stamp , but I am sure CBSA will record the entry date in computer . After 5 years when time to renew PR, no record
on passport ,when we submit pages of photocopy of passport will be all blank pages. Without the stamping ,very likely I cannot remember
my entry date. It is wise to keep boarding pass.
Hope that members can have discussion on e gate.

Every time you pass through the custom booth at the land border, e gate and manned gate at the airport, your passport would be recorded. It doesn't matter what you pass through anyways. If you want, you can request the same from the CBSA.
