EI taxing

Hi everyone. I am collections EI for the first time ever after losing my job before Christmas. For some reason I’m having a hard time registering for My Service Account (MSCA) so I can’t see history of anything. Even after getting my access code I can’t create a profile.

My question is does EI automatically DEDUCT taxes BEFORE depositing your check or should I assume I pay taxes at a later date and put money aside for each deposit???

You’ll need to plan in order to pay taxes.

Plan? You mean put aside my own taxes from each cheque.
I swear they did that. ‍

Taxes are deducted off at source on EI. You’ll receive a T4E from ESDC indicating benefits received and taxes taken off . Use that T slip to file

You’ll need to plan in order to pay taxes.

You’ll need to take plan and take into account that EI will be counted as part of your taxable income for the year.
