Thank you very much for replying .. But you've been waiting for so long! Way longer than six months Is this the norm for London VO or is there something specific to your application that is delaying it? Security screening?

You think it's worth it if I inquire about my VO and if so how do I do that?

Thanks again! And really wish you the best with your application
The average processing time for London VO is 8 months. Unluckily for me they're doing security screening. Absolutely no clue of when this process will end and every time I ask London VO (LVO) they say it could take months.
What seems to trigger a security screening is a lot of travel history, which is true in my case. If this applies to you, then keep calm and take it easy because the wait is brutal. Best thing to do is forget about it / distract yourself. Happy thoughts :D

Considering your AOR is early March, I doubt your application has made it to any VO. It is most likely still with the Central Intake Office (CIO) in Ottawa. However no harm in asking. Send email to:

CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca

Note that should provide your application number as the first item in subject line of your email and include at the start of the body of your email the following information:

· Surname and Given name(s);
· Date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD);
· Unique Client Identifier (UCI) number / Client ID number;
· Category of Immigration (CEC, Provincial Nominee, Family Class, Federal Skilled Worker, Temporary Resident);

Wow! Now I'm worried :-(

I guess my travel history isn't that extensive but still I've been to a few countries...
You're absolutely right of course totally understand that this PR application needs time and fretting over it will just make the time pass longer... But on the other hand I need to plan on how to settle in Canada including things like schools for kids, employment, money... Being left in limbo like that is not good...

I probably won't ask them anything for now.. I'm pretty sure it'll take ages for them to respond anyway if ever... Thanks alot my friend and keep us updated when London finally get it done isa

All the best

Man, no application should take that long.
I'd bombard them with daily emails if I were you.
I do.. I even write to the minister monthly
Do you think they even care?? They’re thicker than fattened swine

Start sending daily journal / diary emails to them, something like:

Day 533: Today I had a swiss cheese burger for lunch. It was nice. Still waiting for my PPR though.
Day 534: Today I set a new personal best record on Angry Birds. Still waiting for my PPR though.
Day 535: My neighbor's cat just gave birth to 5 lovely kittens. Still waiting for my PPR though.

Joking aside though, have you ordered GCMS notes? I've heard it can give a push to the application.

I highly doubt a minister will even consider reading an email from a peasant like us.
Justin Trudeau however, if you manage to get his personal email, might step in and help.

Hey there guys,
I’m a resident in Dubai at the moment I’ve applied with my family for TRVs and our status says: background check in progress.
Couldn’t find any threads for Egyptian TRV applicants so I’ll just go ahead and ask here :)

Any timelines ?? For us it’s been 21 days , processing time in Abudhabi says 15 days so we’re passed that.

I feel you bro .. I have gone through the same confusion. There are different levels of security screening and the good thing is Cairo office put our cases in the priority level which took about 4 months (one month in my case). Sadly the PPR from Cairo office only means you passed the eligibility but it depends on your luck for the security. I hope you get good news very soon.
Dear honest i can't understand it's cairo visa office or ottawa visa office which processes security screening ?
My file is at ottawa is there a possibilty to be transferred to cairo ?

Do you have any military service background!!
It depends, it may take few to many months to clear the security..

For calling cic you can download the hangout and use any vpn app to call them ..
