I have just called the customer service of the National bank of Egypt and they confirmed that my Golden mastercard credit card can purchase up to the equivalent of 20,000 EGP in foreign currency in month. This includes online and direct purchasing transactions.

And to raise my card from classic to gold or titanium it'll take 3 months to take effect (new rules)

I am from alexandria university so i have mine plus efada and transcripts along with the eca report ,my wife doesnt have the certificate but she has el efada in english plus transcripts and eca report,nb: in alexandria university our bachelors certificate is made of carton she doesnt have that so am wondering if she will need it or not...thanks

One more question what are the papers needed to issue an english marriage certificate because i need to issue one and am currently outside of egypt,i had my birth certificate and marriage translated and notarized but some said issuing it will be better so i just need to know what are the papers needed and if a translated birth certificate is good to go,also my national id is expired will i need to use it at any point

This sounds like best option, I called them too to check how long to issue a card, they said in order to do a golden credit card you need a fixed deposit of certificate with 25,000. Against it they will issue gold credit card with limit of 20,000 online or outside egypt of purchases.

I took my Arabic marriage certificate and went to ministry of justice and they issued the English. Issuing an electronic Arabic one I remember I showed them the paper one I have and they issued it. I didn't need my ID.

well. 20K EGP is not enough, the CIB gives 17,500 for platinum with no FD.

the problem is we cannot pay the immigration fees by such limits

forget efada... this means nothing and useless.

I am from alex too, the certificate is printed on A4 form , not the big card one

the translated ones you have already are fine, just be sure the spelling is the same as passports

if you need another translation: only the original arabic is needed for marriage certificate, send someone with it to Ministry of Justice and they translate it for 40EGP

as long as your passport is valid you can ignore the national ID

For a family of four you would need to pay 2500 that's around 18000. So it should be ok...only I need to figure out which bank to go with.

check today's rate, I was in CIB today and they told me with 17,500 limit on foreign transactions (plus the charges they take) it will translate to only 1900CAD
