Hello,

My Egyptian boyfriend in Cairo was recently refused a visitors visa to Canada even though I (a Canadian citizen) wrote him an invitation letter.
We now plan to marry and just want to visit Canada together. He already has an American visa for business.
We are not sure where to marry and where to apply for visitors visa to Canada to best guarantee he (as a husband of a Canadian citizen) can get
a visitors visa (or whatever they call if these days) to Canada.
From past experience I know trying to bring a non-Canadian spouse into the Country, can be difficult because they suspect he wants to immigrate
to Canada and will do so once inside the country on a visitors visa.

Any advice from friends out there? Thanks

You can get married wherever you want. As long as the marriage is recognized by the country you marry in - it will be recognized in Canada as well.

Your boyfriend can certainly apply for a visit visa to Canada from the US. However chances aren't great that he will be approved (especially if he has already been refused once from Egypt).
