Hey everyone.

I was curious...

Any chance the new law on conditional PRs will help reduce processing times on the family applications?

Highly doubt it.

No. i dont think so.
but if it get people who are in false marriages to not apply, in the long run that could reduce the amount of applications being sent in and essential speed up the times. but who knows.

Well the fraudsters always find ways to 'beat the system'. For instance this measure is being practiced in the US but there r still people who will enter in MOC's and risk faking a marriage for 2 years just to go their residency.

Lol. i know.
I didnt say I agree with the new rule, im just saying chances are it wont speed anything up. and there goal is to "scare" away fraudsters.

I would say that CIC's learning curve is very slow so any time anything changes I have yet to see it shorten wait times and I have no faith that it would shorten them at all!!
