Hi All,
I'm a newbie and I'm getting so stressed out/confused over my PR application... Please, help if you can. Any help/insights would be greatly appreciated! I have listed all my questions at the end.
I've just finished my 1st year full time work experience as a Digital Marketing Specialist at a local software/tech company. I'm on my 3-year work permit that's issued after graduated from SFU (expires Jul 22 2017). It's kinda urgent because I'm almost outside 2 year graduating university (therefore not eligible for PNP Int'l Grad stream).
So here's the deal:
When I first applied EE, Under Intended work in Canada I answered:
Does DY have a job offer in Canada?
YES (I didn't read into the detailed requirement regarding LMIA and thought it's simply having a job offer)
Info about the LMIA
Was a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) issued for the job offer in Canada?
No
Is DY currently working in Canada?
Yes
Does DY have a valid work permit for the current job in Canada?
Yes
Is DY's job offer from the employer named on the current work permit?
No
Four digit NOC code of current work permit
1123
Was a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) issued for the current work permit?
No
Soooooo the problem is, when I applied for PNP under EE - International Graduate, it required both EE Profile Number and Job Validation Code. In the Welcome to EE PDF file there's only the EE Profile # but no Job Validation Code. I did register in Job Bank as the first message requested... So, I figured that I messed it up because I answered 'Yes' to Does DY have a job offer in Canada?
Here are my questions:
1. Should I change the answer to Does DY have a job offer in Canada? to No? I asked our HR and they said I don't have LMIA (but they can try if I need one).
2. If I do change the answer to NO, then I no longer meet requirements to Federal Skilled Workers or Canadian Experience Class - would that affect anything?
3. If I do change the answer to NO, will I somehow get a Job Validation Code? (I have already registered in the Job Bank.) Do I just wait around and will receive a new msg in CIC? Or do I need to do something with Job Bank?
4. Currently my score is 444, far from getting drawn. I have a common-law partner but the only proof we have is a combination of photos + friends/family + drivers licence address. Would that be enough proof? We're recently switched the utility bills to be under both of our names.
5. For spouse - First Official Language Proficiency, my partner is Canadian, does he need to take a language test of any sort?
6. My score distribution:
Overall Score 444
Age 110
Education 120
First Language 136
Work Experience 40
Skill Transferability - Education 38
Any advice on increasing my score would be appreciated!!!!
Thank you for your time!
