EE work experience of 10 years

Hello all,
Let me start by saying thank you for helping me today.
I'm getting ready to take my IELTS and I'm trying to gather all my info before hand.
I have one year of continuous work from August 2008 to August 2009.
It's now 2018 so this is 10 years. Can I apply using this work experience?
Anything after that I went to school and so far only contract work since then.

No - unfortunately this year does not fall within the last 10 years.

ok. I'm trying to understand how it works.
My only other long term work is part time on the campus of the university I attended. I worked from Nov 2010-Jul 2012. Would this be usable?

How many hours do you have for the campus job?

You need an average of 30 hours per week or a total of 1,560 hours to qualify for one years continuous work experience.

sigh... thank you for the info. makes me feel like I should have worked more before school.

That's not enough unfortunately. Based on the information you've provided, you don't have the work experience required to qualify and apply.
