Hi
My NOC is 2173 - Software Engineer.
I am in the middle of filling the EE profile.

When creating the EE profile it asks.

some jobs are regulated in Canada. You would need a license or certification to practice these jobs.
Do you know if your primary occupation or trade is regulated ?
The options are Yes/No/I don't know

What should I specify here.

When I followed the help link there, on the below site it says

Skill Type = 2
Skill level = A
Regulation = Yes
MRA = Yes
here it says Regulation = YES.
Please advice on what I should indicate here ? What did you guys do ?

Thanks

Hi,
Those who applied under 2173, Can you please advice.

Waiting ...

Thanks

It is regulated profession when you want to be one in Canada, but it has nothing additional to be done for express entry. It's treated like any other NOC.

@ruka I am in the same boat. I picked "No" because where I live its not a regulated profession Not sure though if that is the correct response

Where do you live?
Does it mean we have to look whether NOC # 2173 is a regulated one or not in the State/ Province we wish to stay after the PR?
what are the steps to get the license?
Will it have any impact in my PR chances? i.e., will the VISA officer ask for the license (if I have got it or atleast applied for it or not)?

Regards,
Arya
