EE Medical Category

Hi All,

I am finally planning to take my medicals this weekend, however, slightly confused in relation to category choice after going through various threads in this forum.

Successful/rejected candidates please share which medicals to undertake -

1. Primary Applicant : Non-EDE Worker or Non-EDE Family?

2. Dependent: Non-EDE Family or anything else?

I did get in touch with my medical clinic but they were unable to provide this info, all they said was the applications do not get rejected under the category in which they do the medicals

Also, a slightly different question, has anyone who has an epileptic condition faced rejection due to it?

My dependents and I got the Medical category: EDE-Family and our mycic status is passed.
I know many people got PR with either EDE-Family or nonEDE-worker.
There was a thread on this and reported that the category does not matter actually. What matters is how the Panel Physician reports the medical exam: (1) for temporary residency or (2) permanent residency. So, it all depends on the Panel Physician.

It's EDE-FAMILY for my spouse and me. MyCIC shows medical passed. I suppose that the tests Performed are important when compared to the category the physicians office choose.

Hi All,

So I got my spouse and mine medical's done today through a e-medical enabled clinic and the category they chose was NON EDE worker for both. I did confirmed from them and they said that this is the medical for PR .

Keeping my fingers crossed.
