Hi Everyone,

Need advice on BOWP. If someone has acknowledgement of receipt, then can we apply for BOWP? Do we have to still wait for Review of eligibility for BOWP?

Do you actually have what CIC refers to as "Acknowledgement of Receipt" as per below?

In the Express Entry application process, a notice and a letter are sent to the applicant. Only the letter (Acknowledgment of Receipt) can be used to support a BOWP.

A notice (Electronic receipt of APR) is automatically issued to the applicants on receipt of their electronic application submission. This notice indicates the following: “Your application is being checked to determine whether it meets the requirements of a complete application pursuant to section 10 and section 12.01 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations.” This notice cannot be used to support a BOWP, as it does not reflect that the applicant has received a “positive eligibility assessment” as required for a BOWP.

A letter (Acknowledgement of Receipt) is issued to the applicants once their application has passed a completeness check. This letter indicates the following: “CIC has reviewed your application and determined that it meets the requirements of a complete application as described in section 10 and section 12.01 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations.” This is the official Acknowledgement of Receipt letter and it may be used to support a BOWP if all other requirements are met.

Yes you can, as long as you have the proof, one of the following should be sufficient:
1. Acknowledgement of Receipt letter
2. Nomination Certificate/PNP approval letter

NOT - CIC has reviewed your application and determined that it meets the requirements of a complete application as described in section 10 and section 12.01 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations.



Still How can we apply for BOWP? Please can you help me.

Sadly, this is NOT the AOR which you can use to apply for BOWP. This is just the standard e-APR that everyone automatically receives after submission.

You'll have to wait for the AOR which will certify that your application has been found complete. Unfortunately, CIC has been erratic with sending this 2nd AOR - some have got it while others haven't and yet gone on to get their PPRs.

There hasn't been any observable trend so far on this front so can't say. Recommend sending a Case Specific Enquiry to CIC on this.

Do we have to send PR application fess receipt to CIC?

Not required. After you make the online payment, you get the receipt confirming the same. There is a line in that asking you to send the receipt back to CIC but it is just a relic of the old system.

Hi,

If some one was on Post Study work permit and applied for BOWP on basis of PNP Approval, waiting for BOWP, then are we allowed to continue work or Shall we have to stop working till we get approval of BOWP?
