Education qualification required for getting Canada PR

Hi,

I am an Indian and have completed my schooling from New Delhi, India. However because of some family issue I was not able to further continue my studies and started doing job. I have more than 11 years of experience in Marketing and Advertising. I am single and wanted to take Canada PR and start working there. Can anyone guide me is it necessary to be graduate to apply for a PR or Work Permit in Canada?

It’s not necessary technically, however since the immigration system is points-based and a large portion of points are allotted to education, it will be impossible for to qualify without at least a completed bachelor’s degree. And that’s not even guaranteed because Canada may assess foreign bachelors as a local 2-year diploma, which will be the basis of the points.

You also do not qualify for a work permit only because of the difficulty of getting one, specially with your career background.
