I HAVE 3 QUESTIONS IN THIS TOPIC:

QUESTION 1
I have read that the new changes implemented on November 19 will give points to those who studied at least 8 months at a Canadian Institution.
I was an exchange student in Canada from Sep 2009 to Apr 2010 (both included) at the University of Ottawa. I didn't get any specific certificate except a 'certificate of presence' signed by the mobility coordinator of the university.
That being said, in my final thesis I was awarded a certificate signed by both my university and the Translation Bureau of Canada (Public Works and Government Services). This certificate is not directly connected to the year I spent in Canada but to the topic of my thesis.
How should I manage this experience? Below is my entry

QUESTION 2
I have a post-graduation course which is recognized as a master's degree. It was 3 semesters long (1 year and a half).
In the field 'Complete/full academic years', only whole numbers are accepted. Should I write 1 or 2?

QUESTION 3
I have a university-specific degree, awarded by a university in Spain. I have read that this kind of degree is only recognized by the awarding university. Should I have it assessed (ECA) and submit it to my profile?

I'm a bit confused with your answers under the first question.

A certificate of presence doesn't qualify under the "degree, diploma or certificate" criteria. A certificate of presence only confirms you were in attendance - it doesn't indicate the completion of a program. Did the University of Ottawa award you another degree, diploma or certificate (apart from the certificate of presence)? If not, then I don't think you can claim you have studied in Canada.

Question 1, Certificate courses shall not be counted.

Question 2, 1 Year

Question 3, You need ECA.

I have a certificate that states the following:

L'Université Pompeu Fabra et le Bureau de la traduction du gouvernement du Canada attestant l'expérience professionnelle acquise en terminologie par [my name] dans le cadre du projet multilingue de TERMIUM, la banque de données linguistiques et terminologiques du gouvernement du Canada, relativement à l'ajout d'équivalents espagnols dans le domain de l'économie.

This terminological research was conducted for course No. 2009-10, given at the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation by professors of the University Institute of Applied Linguistics of the University Pompeu Fabra; the work is the result of an agreement between this centre of excellence and the Translation Bureau.
