Education and Work experience

Dear all

1- I have worked as a computer department coordinator for 2 years then I changed my job and work as a secretary for 4 years.

Is it necessary to have all my experience in the 38 occupational fields to have the 21 points?

In other words, how many points will they award me 21 for 5 years or 17 just for 2 years?

2- Haw to count the years of education I was complete my hinge school 12 years then I got the IT diploma none university degree in IT form the University of Jordan the training hours is 400 (part time) for 10 months.

Is that mean I have 13 years of education?

1) No need to have all jobs in the 38 occupation field to get 21 points, but they must be skill type/level 0,A or B.

2) I am guessing 12 years because you did not have two years of part time. I am guessing here so best to wait for someone else to reply here.

i am really confused about this point that your work must be NOC skill O, A or B.
i had 4 years work experience.. 2 years and 7 months is not skill level O, A or B and 1 year and half skill level B... so am i getting 21 points or what ?? please someone explain.

To be eligible for points, the applicant’s work experience must:
• have occurred during the 10 years immediately preceding the date of application;
• be in occupations listed in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) under Skill Type 0
or Skill Level A and B;
• not be in an occupation that has been designated by the Minister as a restricted occupation.
At the time of printing, there were no occupations designated as restricted. However, for the
most up-to-date listing, officers should refer to the Department’s website at
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp;
• be full-time work, which according to R80(7), is equivalent to at least 37.5 hours of work per
week. Full-time work experience requirement may be met by the equivalent in part-time work
experience, e.g. two part-time jobs held simultaneously or one part-time job held over a
period equivalent to one year of full-time employment.

So you probably get points for one year of experience, 15 points. i am guessing.
