Hi,
My family is about to move into Canada for long term settlement with me (I'm on work permit) and willing to avail this opportunity to help my children with their higher studies. My daughter needs to commence her Chemical Engineering while my son need to start his 10th standard.

Please guide me in terms of eligibility criteria, process to follow once they land in Canada, cost per year, category they need to apply in etc?

Thanks

Sanjay Kumar

Your daughter would be attending a university. The cost of the program depends on the school and program she selected (these costs will have to be covered by you). Depending on her age, she may need a study permit and may have to pay international rather than domestic student fees.

Your son would be attending high school. This education is free provided he attends a public school.

Hi ...
Kind thanks for your advice though I was looking a bit more details around the same to help me start my home-work on.
I was willing to know about the few good Universities in around Brampton (Toronto) and some ball park fee estimates along with few URLs to help me proceed further in that direction.

Similarly some inner details on difference in cost and education standards of public and private Schools along with few links to help me reach out Deans of few good schools.

Will be obliged.

If you're looking for that level of support, then I would recommend you hire an immigration lawyer or consultant to do this research on your behalf. Unfortunately no one here is going to do that level of research for you.

For universities - you would want to be looking at the University of Toronto as your first option and York University as your second option. If your daughter is willing to be outside of Toronto, Waterloo University is an excellent option for Engineering. Beyond that, you'll have to visit the school web sites to find out costs and program details (or again, hire someone to do this work for you).

If you google "private school tuition Toronto" - you'll find information about private school tuition fees.
