It`s all random..no proper order.

Not in our case. Family applicant and still waiting until now. DM status since Jan 17, 2018.
I think its random in every case.

Haha its not quite what was asking so maybe it has come across the wrong way.

I'm asking if anyone has had the same experience that i have just had. For the officer to say "i'm still waiting for....." leads me to believe that they have already been conducting these security checks and from the response of some of the other people there, they had a decision right there and then.

What i am asking for is if anyone else has had experience in this and what sort of time frame have they experienced.

In regards to stating that i am a British citizen, please understand that there are applicants that come from countries that require additional security checks due to the status of that country. Some countries, such as the UK and Australia, would have less stringent security checks.

fair enough. Sorry, my reply might have been to judgemental. Anyway, goodluck on your application. I got my oath invitation 3 weeks after my exam/interview

To those who have done their Oath. How long does it take to finish? I want to know if I can plan something for after Ceremony.

The actual ceremony itself is 45min to an hour . But before that the check in is between 30min to an hour.

I took my oath on Tuesday, 9:30am!! It was a good feeling!! Finally!

What CIC agents are responding back contradicts with what CIC has on this page: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=363&top=5

According to this, we should be getting oath invite within six months after passing the exam. Thoughts?
