It depends on the area you are looking to rent an apartment in. For example, I went to see an apartment in the North side in the basement and the rent was 900/month. However, in other areas, the rent could go up to 1300 a month for unfurnished.

I have received my PR Visa and COPR last month and have finalised my destination city as Edmonton, Alberta. I have also booked my ticket and arriving in Edmonton on 11th OCT 2013. I would appreciate if you guys suggest me with some good place to live. I am single and looking for a single room or even open to share apartment with others. I have booked a hostel for initial three days. If you know any place which is vacant then please share it with me.
I have one query as well, I am travelling with BA and my stopover is in London and Calgary. Just wanted to check my landing formalities will be done in Calgary or in Edmonton. My layover in Calgary is for 2.5 hours. Please advise.

Please suggest, is it better to opt for credential evaluation before moving to Edmonton? If yes, how I can do it? I am planning to land there in First week of March, 14. I have some time so thing about that. I've heard that It can be done upon my arrival, can be fast and even cheap. Those who have landed please suggest me.
