eCas "In Process" vs. PPR

hi guys,
so my husband's status has been changed to "in process" on March 19. this is the same day my husband received an email asking for a copy of his passport.

but according to the website, in process means:

Application Received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)
We have received your application and will review it in order of receipt. We will send you an acknowledgement letter.

Documentation Verified by CIC
We are reviewing your application to make sure it is complete and that no documents are missing. We will return incomplete applications for resubmission.

An Interview May be Required
We will review the application and decide if an interview is necessary. If so, we will inform you in writing of the date, time and location of the interview.

I thought that his status would be more "decision made"? When they ask for his passport doesn't it mean that a decision has been made? They have also asked for his mailing address so that they could mail his landing papers.

"In process" covers a wide variety of things but from what you have posted you are in VERY GOOD shape. Ours processed out of Manila and from PPR it took exactly one month for our status to go to 'DM' and then 3 days after that, it was all good and received back by us via collect DHL courier. Hopefully similar or better in your case. All the best!
