ECA Report- Conversion of eca report to points

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum and i have a question regarding the ECA report.

I have done 10 and +2 and completed Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2 Years (Actually after 10th if we join, it is a 3year course). Then Joined Bachelor's in Electronics and communication engineering (directly to 2nd year, It's a 4 year course) finished in 3 Year.

WES Report says:

Bachelor's degree (four years)

CREDENTIAL ANALYSIS

Could someone help me out by converting this. Will i be getting points for two or more diploma or degree or only i will get points for the degree. If i can get on two or more diploma or degree, please let me know what i have to give in place of level of study in the express entry form.

I think you go can for "Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees. One must be for a program of three or more years"

My Bachelor's is 4 years but i completed in 3 years and the diploma is 3 years but completed in 2 years.

But why is we report in the summary, they have mentioned only Bachelor's degree.

Is my diploma is considered to be a post secondary diploma as in the report it says canadian equivalency is Secondary school diploma and diploma (two years)

The WES report compares your degree to Canadian degrees. The summary shows your highest level of education in equivalency with Canadian degree.
Yes they considered your diploma to "Secondary school diploma and diploma".

I think you need to select a diploma and other Bachelors with same WES Ref number.

Sorry i am not 100% sure on this.

Even though post-undergraduate diploma suites you, you might not be able to use it as they mentioned: "this equivalency assessment outcome applies to reports issued by either the “International Credential Evaluation Service (ICES), British Columbia Institute of Technology” or the “International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS), Government of Alberta.” These designated organizations indicate outcomes in English only."

Since you used WES, you may not be able to use "Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees."
I would ask others in the forum to reply and guide you.

Thanks for the info Sunicha, I can go with Two or more degree or diploma option which will increase my score. As in this above link, the diploma comes under two year degree or diploma. In the form for level of education they have mentioned, if we have degree and diploma with anyone for more than 3 year, we can choose two or more degree option.

Another thing, do i need to mention two or more degree or diploma in level of study in both diploma and engineering?

Now I have updated my profile like

Level of education for diploma and engineering i selected two or more degree option.

Level of education (Canadian equivalency from wes report) i selected two year degree or diploma for diploma and Bachelors degree for degree

But still my point is not increased. Am i doing anything wrong or it will take some time for to update.

I am not sure you will be able to show this as two or more degrees. For that the diploma needs to be post secondary. As your WES assessment says Bachelors, you probably will be getting points for Bachelors only. Im not sure still.. Its getting more confusing..

I have filled the Diploma and Engineering in two rows in education in express entry profile.

In the help button for level of education says "" To get the correct number of points, make sure you choose the answer that best reflects your case. For example:
If you have TWO Bachelor degrees, or one bachelor AND a two year college diploma, choose" Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees. One must be for a program of three or more years.
If you did not earn a Canadian degree, diploma or certificate, you may need to have your foreign education assessed by an agency approved by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. They must show that it is valid, and equal to a completed Canadian credential.""

By this help shown in red, i have diploma and engineering degree, in which engineering is more than 3 year. So i think i am eligible for two or more diploma or degree option.

Could you please tell me what they mean by post graduation?

If i have two or more degree or diploma will wes report will state like that? In mine they have given bachelors in the summary

You can choose 'Two or more...' option when you have a Bachelors degree and some degree/diploma/certificate AFTER the Bachelors degree. That is what is meant by post graduation.

In your case, you have a post secondary (school grade) diploma and a Bachelors degree. You should choose Bachelors only.

I agree with @Asivad and @cyronn. You should choose "Bachelors degree". I apologize if i misguided you.

2 or more certificates hold true for non Canadian degree/diploma's only when both of them are evaluated properly by external agencies i.e your ECA report should indicate that your Diploma is equivalent to post secondary certificate and your degree is equivalent to Bachelors.

However, based on your statement, it seems you used your diploma to enter laterally into Engineering program effectively using it to get partial credits for Engineering--in this case you did a three year engineering course instead of usual four years. Thus by, your two or more degree/certificate doesn't come into play here. You should go with your highest degree which happens to be your Bachelors.
