ECA for trades/electrcian

Does anyone know if you can get an ECA done for a Trades, I am an electrician In Australia and was wondering if I could get this recognised? I have heard that you can't get trades recognised.

Does work I was doing whilst I was an apprentice count towards total time of skilled work when filling out my Express Entry profile.

For getting PR thru trades program is different than for FSW..in case of trades there is no education requirement. You will need an ECA though if u need a bump in scores.. chk eligibility to see if you can manage without getting an ECA done http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/trades/apply-who.asp
