If the ban is lifted I would also. contact the airline and transit countries before booking a flight. I would also buy travel cancellation insurance if you do end up booking a flight although I would read the fine print before buying a policy. The Ebola situation is sadly far from under control and cases could easily be found out of the DRC again.
It looks like your private sponsorship was only filed in 2024 so you likely have many years before it could be approved. The Ebola situation should be over before your case is finalized.
