My wife wants to pursue her passion in early childhood education from Toronto. She has a UG in Information Technology passed out in the year 2012 and has a 2 year work experience in TCS Chennai. 2014-15 she quit and followed her passion to teach and did her PG Diploma in kindergarten and Montessori teaching after completion she worked as a KG-facilitator 2026-16,as it is not a high paying job, for financial reasons she went into banking and has been working in a public sector bank since 2016-present.Is it advisable to apply for childhood education diploma at this age of 31 and what are the chances of getting the study visa.

Honestly low. If she has her PG Diploma in kindergarten/Montessori then why does she need to come to canada for ECE which is day care? Does India not have ECE programs? ECE programs aren’t post graduate programs and can be taken out of secondary so she isn’t advancing her education. And she needs to justify spending tens of thousands of dollars for a low paying career which is why she didn’t continue in India (Not high enough pay). She isn’t advancing her career.

Thank you for your reply.
Yes I can understand completely ,ECE in India doesn't pay much and she wants to do it where there is demand and get PR eventually.
It is about passion and true it does not provide any advancement in her education.
Thanks again.

Well ECE doesn’t pay well in Canada either. If passion, she can work in Montessori in India. Or is it really wanting PR? PR isn’t guaranteed as you still need high enough scores to be invited.

She can definitely apply for ECE programs in Canada because there is a high demand of ECEs in British Columbia at least. My sister owns two daycares in Vancouver and trust me it is hard to find employees in our field.
