Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
i've noticed my home address is written incorrectly on the Ecas and even though i've emailed them several times, they still wont put my home address correctly, any suggestions on what i can do? I even had my husband to email them and they replied back to him saying they will update they info but they havent, but when i message them i dont even get an automatically reply from them..

Try to call them in Mississauga and explain the problem, after that send a letter requesting the change, in in the future there is a problem you have proof that you did the right thing..but first try to call them....and explain all that you just wrote.....

good luck

My husband called to the call center they said they cant do anything about it, i called canadian embassy in my country, they said they cant do anything about it over the phone, i explained to them about all my emails yet she refused to help me. I simply dont know what else to try, unless i try to submit more proof of relationship and also a request to update my home address (if i can do so, i heard someone just went to the embassy and dropped off more proof of relationship without them to request it)

Try to update tha info online, use the address that you have now the wrong one, and then a few minutes later try to update always online, with the right one even knowing that you have the right one now just to update their system, try to send that letter as I told you if something happens you will have a proof that you were trying to do the right thing and nobody was able to help you, it's weird as this is a delicate matter but just in case cover your back as much as you can send the letter to both Mississauga and your VO.

Good luck

Yes I suggest that as well, try to do it too lillyvb, send a letter to Mississauga and your VO so the day of tomorrow you have proof that you were trying to do the right thing even when they were not willing to help.

Are you the sponsor or applicant?

Sponsor - Change it online and it can take 2-4 weeks to show the new address on ecas

applicant - depending on VO. fax or email..no idea when they will change

Your husband, if he is a sponsor CAN NOT chage a applicant's address, you as an applicant need to.

If you are the applicant, you need to contact your VO to make the change.

Depends on which VO you are from.

If my wife just sent a letter to the VO with her sticker saying that her address is wrong (2 months ago), the next communication with the VO won't be correct...they won't correct it? I thought since it's from an office abroad, CIC in Mississauga can't do anything about it because when you click on the link to change the address, it tells you to communicate to your visa office.

Depends on whos making the change.
Sponsor adrdress or applicant. You never clarified this.

I as a sponsor can change my address any time ONLINE.
My wife needs her her file ID and the visa office procedure ( online, fax, email ) to change her mailing addy.

well, my wife sent a letter asking for the change to the visa office in Bogota. She is the applicant and I am the sponsor.

I have tried to update my old address on ecas and put my new address because I moved to a new place and it went just fine. After 15 days I saw my new address on ecas.

There is a note on the ecas web page that after you update your address, they'll advise you not to log in to ecas for 15 days or else there will be problems. I guess it's just the way it is, it takes time for them to update or process something because of the volume of applications they receive.

I hope this will help......

Hi everyone! same with mine, but they print my name misspelled. I attached a formal letter when I send my passport to them but still no changes at all.

so relate to this!

When they process my citizenship, in e-cas they put online that my application was received & processed at Sydney, Australia instead of Sydney, Nova Scotia.

Now, I have the same error over & over again on my husband's mailing address. everytime I tried to change it. after weeks, it will show the corrected address but weeks after I log-in again it goes back to the wrong mailing address. I already tried to fix it twice & now this is my 3rd time.

e-cas isn't really reliable...plus some VO won't put "decision made" not until they stamp visa on your passport or even landed.
