I was notified by a letter from the Canadian embassy in Cairo, Egypt that I can know the daily updates on my application by using the cic web-site. When I clicked on the application status link I saw only one line that has the following:
decision has been made, decision regarding issuance of visa not availabe.
no information about sending the application to the canadian embassy in cairo nor receiving the medical report or anything else...is that normal?

do I miss something, or this is the only link available?

Thanks

Hi bluesea423!

Do you already have a Client ID? If you do, try using it and logging in with the applicant's information.

Hope this helps!

Hi bonbon9
yes, I have a client number, is it the same as the file number?
when i logged on using this number i got so limited information as i mentioned in my original question...why the information is not updated frequently? is there another site that i do not know?

Thanks

Mine is exactly the same as yours. I did try using applicant info but nothing changed. Maybe in a bit more time. ?

eCAS is the only website where you can see the progress of your application.
I would wait a little for it to update. At least now the embassy in Egypt is keeping in contact with you.
I read that different visa offices use eCAS differently. Some of them never announce medicals received, PPRs, etc. I wouldn't worry about eCAS not having updated information too much, as long as you're able to communicate with the embassy and they can contact you easily, you should be fine.
