I was stop for a DUI about 1 year and 1/2 ago. I have attended the ARD program and completed it. I paid all my fines and I received my letter of completion of the ARD. What are the steps to get the DUI expunge from my record because I'm moving from Alaska to CA? I would like to do this on my own since I don't really have much money to pay an attorney to do it for me. Thank you.

Unfortunately, you wont be able to be permanently admissible in Canada until it have been 5 or more years after your conviction and approved for criminal rehabilitation.
Once it has been 5 or more years you can apply for criminal rehabilitation which has to be done at the Canadian consulate and can take several months to be processed. However the process it worth it because it will be a permanent solution to allow you in and out of Canada.

Even if they did, Canada would probably ignore the fact that it was expunged and still treat it as a conviction. They don't have to be bound by US legislation.

Agreed. US immigration will do the same (i.e. US immigration would continue to treat this as a conviction even after it has been expunged in the US).
