Dubai Police Certificate - Please Help

I got a letter of sponsorship approval in my wifes name this week from Vegreville as we are doing in-land sponsorship.

Now my lawyer is saying i should get my RCMP clearance, also a UK Police certificate as that where i am from.

But also i need one from Dubai as i lived there for 5 yrs.

The problem is before i left in 2006 i brought one to Canada with me just in case as i was applying to be a student so thought i would get one as i was there.

Whilst in Canada studying i applied for Skilled PR and included the original with my file long story short missed out on PR cause of one point..

I have copies of the original and have not been back since.

I can get one for the UK no problem but Dubai is a little more tricky.

Although CIC website seems to think its easy trust me its not its hard getting in person let alone relying on someone to scan your fingerprints on paper alone. Also i am worried if i pay all this money for certificates and Couriers etc its going to be wasted effort.

Opinions are highly Welcomed

Additional note CIC Vegreville has not requested any Police certificates as of date so why should i provide what they have not asked for yet...

If someone applied for FSW and its takes more then a year they usually VO ask for new PCC so there is no Doubt they will ask for it on later stage there are 99% chances that they will ask for it Moreover DUBAI PCC takes almost 45 to 50 days minimum to gothrough whole process trust me i had applied in Jan 2010 for Dubai one , its a bit lenghty process , i would recomand you to arrange one before they ask for one , i know there are 1% chances VO might not ask for it but if incase they will then they might give you 30 or 45 days ...

I am in Canada at the moment and getting one seems so hard. I am in Toronto the embassy is in Ottawa.

I have to get fingerprints send them to them, then thats where i am lost.

On the embassy website it says better to get a friend or relative in Dubai to submit but i have nobody there anymore and who arranges for the collection from the police station in Dubai? and how will they notify once they are ready for pick-up

i think you have no other choice then go trough whole lenghty process.... you better start soon usually dubai police post the PCC tou your current residence , all you need to worry about is to get fingure print done and Notorize it by UAE embassy ...

This information is really brief , in actuall process is bit changed for outsider / who is not currently resident of UAE ,

i have personal applied for it only diffrence is i have applied in UK , but process is exacty same

How long did it take you to get yours? Do you know about the process for obtaining Abu Dhabi clearance? I have the websites and all, but am looking for someone whose gone thru the process. I don't believe anything on the website of a Middle East country, cos if you're out of the country, things are harder to get.

Well mine ones takes about 45 to 50 days ,
Frist has to be done Finger Print at UK Police ( About 7 days ahead Appoint) , then get Notorize from Common Wealth Dept / Forein Affairs Deppartment ( Took Almost 5 dayz) then get it Notarize again from UAE embassy ( applied from same day service ) and then send those document with filled form and fees to Diubai Police ( took almost four weeks to get it back),

Also note Abu Dhabhi deal this querry Diffrently as they issued PCC in Uk embassy its self, so i would also recommand you to ask your local Embassy of UAE ,
