Hi There,

I was born in Australia and I consider myself an Australian Citizen. I lived in the UK for 18months and as my Dad was born there I got a British passport, making me a British Citizen.

This British passport has since expired (since March 2013).

I thought it best to advise CIC of this in my cover letter. Any thoughts? Advice?

Thanks :)

Anyone? Thanks :)

do you an australian passport? did you give up your British Citizenship or are you planning to in the Future??

No i'm an Australian citizen and hold an Australian passport. I did however used to have a British passport when i lived in the UK (so I had dual nationality) but this passport has expired as of March 2013 and I am not renewing it.

But even if you don't renew it sir , you will still be a citizen of UK and have your own ID number. Right? I don't know what exactly to say more?

Nevermind.......thanks for your response though :)

Correct. It's better to be upfront about anything like this - it will make the process smoother. I'd also provide them with a photocopy of the main ID pages from both passports for their records.

Good luck.
