Okay been doing some reading here on the forums and I want to try and clear up a couple of things.
Assuming my wife manages to get a TRV and extends the visa using dual intent, what happens when they request her passport for the PR application. Her VO is in Buenos Aires.
Would she be able to mail her passport to Buenos Aires and then have them mail it back to Canada? And if this was possible, what would she have to do to complete the PR landing process if she was already in Canada? As she is an argentine citizen she wouldn't be able to just enter over the border and return again (flag poling)as she would need to get a visa just to enter the States.
And of course this all would only take place if the interview has been waived for the PR application.
Why is an interview required....I believe it is when the VO suspects the relationship is not genuine....are there any other reasons? My wife and i have been married 10 years and have two young children that have recently recieved their canadian citizenship papers. I can't see any reason why they would request an interview leaving only the problem of the passport and landing as a PR.
Could anyone help clear up my doubts.... ???
