Driving a US car to Canada during study

Hello everyone, I'm really confused, and DMV form both sides can't give me a clear answer.

1. I'm a international student (non-US, non-Canada)
2. I studied in the US at first, and bought my car there
3. Moved to Canada for study, driving this car.
4. Did some research online, it's legal to use my US car in Canada during study

Now, it's about the time to renew the tag, (with US B1B2 visa), I'm not sure if the thing I'm doing is legal or not.
